Jeffrey E. Surma

President, Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman, InEnTec Inc.

​

Jeff Surma has led pioneering and award-winning research into plasma processing and associated technologies.

 

Jeff spent just under 10 years with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), where he directed multi million dollar research projects into new ways of transforming waste. He led a multi-institutional team involving PNNL and MIT to develop plasma technologies that have since been commercialized through InEnTec.

 

Jeff holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University.

David A. Lamar

Vice President of Engineering

​

David Lamar led several award-winning projects key to development of PEM technology. David spent more than 10 years as an engineer at the Battelle Memorial institute and has worked with the US Department of Energy on several key projects including demonstrating plasma arc applications in a radioactive environment, Advanced Vitrification Technology, Hot-Cell Restoration Program and various permitting projects.

Martin Capriles

Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer


Martin Capriles is an active entrepreneur, founder of PEMTx Energy LLC and former Managing Director of GGC Investments and Meta Capital, two related financing entities with investments in metals, retail, technology base startups, renewable energy, and consumer products. He is an experienced executive with a track record in M&A, corporate finance, administration, strategy and operations. He is on the board of Surfside Coffee Company, a 56 Dunkin store franchise network in Florida and DBT Aero, a company seeking to revolutionize the General Aviation industry. Prior to his work in investment finance, Martin spent 20 years with CEMEX (NYSE: CX) in various roles with P&L responsibility, including CEMEX Venezuela’s Board of Directors, Head Investment Officer, Commercial Vice President, and Trading Director. Martin holds an M.S. from Caracas’ Universidad Metropolitana and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Scott G. Hornby, Esq.

Vice President & General Counsel


Scott has more than 30 years’ experience as an entrepreneur, corporate attorney and C-suite executive across several industries, including technology, manufacturing, renewable energy, and environmental services. Before joining InEnTec, Scott served as President & CEO for two renewable energy companies focused on utility scale solar development, while he also managed the companies’ legal affairs. Scott also has roots in the gasification vertical from time serving as Vice President & General Counsel for InEnTec’s former subsidiary, InEnTec Chemical LLC. Scott possesses an exemplary track record in M&A, corporate law, business litigation, finance, administration, strategy, and operations. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. (dual majors) in Economics and English Literature and the University of Detroit School of Law with his Juris Doctor. In addition to leading the legal function for InEnTec, he will be involved in business and project development initiatives.

Matthew Targett, PhD

VP R&D and Sustainability


Former Director of Sustainability at Origin Materials, head of Innovation Management at Bayer – Asia. Vice President of Research and Development LP Amina, Manufacturing Technology Manager Dupont. M.S. and PhD from University of Pennsylvania.

Alisa Groenen

Controller


Joined the InEnTec team in 2022. 7+ years of accounting/finance management experience. 6 Sigma Green Belt certified. BA from Gonzaga University, MBA from Washington State University, and Accounting Certificate from University of Washington. On track to become licensed as a CPA in 2024.
