Job Summary:

 

This position involves operation and maintenance of a state-of-the-art hydrogen production plant. The plant uses InEnTec’s plasma-assisted, gasification technology to convert solid feedstocks into fuel-cell grade hydrogen. This position includes responsibility for all areas of the plant's commercial operations, safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will be familiar with industrial operations, preferable waste-to-energy plants. Ability to read and understand process flow diagrams (PFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs), and Electrical and Instrumentation Diagrams (EIDs).

 

Qualifications: Required
 

  • Associate degree or certificate in a technical discipline (electrical/instrumentation preferred) or recent equivalent military training.

  • Five years operating or maintenance experience in an industrial plant environment.
     

Other desired qualifications:
 

  • Familiar with PLC controlled equipment and plant operations using advanced Control HMI software.

  • Reside within a reasonable distance of plant.

  • Valid driver's license with good record.

  • Math - basic algebra, fractions/percentages, unit conversion.

  • Strong interpersonal abilities to support team philosophy and strategy.

  • Experience with CMMS systems

  • Strong organizational ability.

  • High mechanical aptitude and ability to work with simple mechanic's hand tools.

  • Knowledge of gasification, gas cleaning, and hydrogen production processes and hazards within area or site.

  • Understanding of electrical hazards and safety.

  • Basic understanding of actuated valves, instrumentation, and control systems.

  • Able to complete corrective and preventative maintenance tasks.
     

Responsibilities:
 

  • Safety

    • Understand and adhere to company safe work policies.

    • Promote a safe work environment.

    • Contribute to the improvement of the Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.

    • Apply the Lock out, tag out, try out (LOTOTO) and energy isolation procedures as required for company and contractor personnel.

    • Follow change order procedures.

    • Operate plant with compliance regulations

    • Maintain site security
       

  • Reliability

    • Collect and interpret trends in equipment condition monitoring data.

    • Execute, document, and continuously improve equipment preventative and corrective maintenance strategy.

    • Execute and document all corrective actions.

    • Effectively prioritize and schedule all work activities.
       

  • Process Operation and Efficiency

    • Assist Shutdowns, Start-ups, and production rate changes for plant.

    • Troubleshoot process problems to identify equipment requiring maintenance.

    • Understand boiler water treatment chemistry and perform water treatment tasks.

    • Actively participates in the Root Cause Analysis process.

    • Sets/maintains high housekeeping standards to exemplify/improve ICR image.
       

  • Administrative and Managerial

    • Document receipt, processing, and running inventory of all feedstock materials received.

    • Follow all Quality Control requirements to ensure a quality product is delivered to InEnTec's customers.

    • Actively leads the Continuous Improvement process of the shift.

    • Document all plant events in plant logbook.

    • Complete required round sheets, system tests, site and equipment inspection forms.

    • Maintain production logs, perform data entry into records system.

    • Coordinate operations and safety meetings.

    • Complete all training activities per schedule and meet annual performance goals.

    • Accept On call duty and overtime as required.

    • Able to work 12 hrs. rotating shifts on a 36/48 (2) week schedule.

    • Effectively prioritize and schedule all work activities.

    • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to supervise, teach, coach, and persuade.

    • Good interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.

    • Other duties assigned by manager
