Board of Directors

Jeffrey E. Surma

President, Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman, INENTEC Inc.

Jeff Surma has led pioneering and award-winning research into plasma processing and associated technologies

Jeff spent just under 10 years with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), where he directed multimillion dollar research projects into new ways of transforming waste. He led a multi-institutional team involving PNNL and MIT to develop plasma technologies that have since been commercialized through INENTEC.

Jeff holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University.

E. Gary Cook, Ph.D

Chairman

Dr. Cook received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and University. He joined E. I. DuPont in 1969 as a Research Chemist and spent 23 years with DuPont, holding a variety of senior management positions. Dr. Cook has served on numerous industry association boards, including those of the Chemical Manufacturers Association, the Soap and Detergent Association, the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, and the Health Industry Manufacturers Association.

Larry Dinkin

Mr. Dinkin has an extensive background in business startups and management and is one of the founders of INENTEC. Mr. Dinkin has received several business awards, including Long Island Entrepreneur of the Year from Inc. Magazine and a Clio Award for his Marie Callender design work. Prior to his startup and management career, Mr. Dinkin worked as a computer consultant at Univac and at Coopers and Lybrand.

Robert Y. Konig

Mr. Konig is General Counsel at Broadway Healthcare, and has been designated by Moshe Isaac Foundation to be a member of INENTEC's Board. Mr. Konig received his B.S. in Business Management from Yeshiva University, Syms School of Business and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Mr. Konig is active in various charities and has worked pro bono representing holocaust survivors.

Damon Safranek

Mr. Safranek is Chief Operation Officer of Paskenta Band of Nomlaki – Paskenta Enterprises Corporation. Previous positions included operational roles in a variety of business in the hospitality and gaming industries. Mr. Safranek received his B.S. in Corporate Finance and his MBA from University of Arizona.

Sergey Mitirev

Mr. Mitirev is a corporate and tax lawyer by background. Mr. Mitirev holds an LLM degree from New York University, School of Law, and completed the Advanced Executive Program in Finance at the Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has been a member of the New York State Bar since 2003. Mr. Mitirev also represents LRL Investments, a major stockholder in INENTEC Inc.

David A. Lamar

Vice President of Engineering

David Lamar led several award-winning projects key to development of PEM technology. David spent more than 10 years as an engineer at the Battelle Memorial institute and has worked with the US Department of Energy on several key projects including demonstrating plasma arc applications in a radioactive environment, Advanced Vitrification Technology, Hot-Cell Restoration Program and various permitting projects.

J. Michael Rockett

Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Rockett has spent more than 25 years working at the intersection of energy and the environment. Mr. Rockett served as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice where he prosecuted civil cases to enforce U.S. laws regulating hazardous waste, clean air, clean water, toxics, and environmental contamination. He received a Special Achievement Award for his work on seminal Clean Air Act cases. Mr. Rockett works on INENTEC’s strategic and day-to-day project and business development and manages the financial and legal affairs of INENTEC.

James A. Batdorf, Ph.D.

Director of Engineering and Technology Development

Dr. Batdorf is one of the key inventors of the Plasma Hearth Process (PHP) technology for treatment of contaminated radioactive waste. He established state-of-the-art plasma experimental laboratory at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL). Dr. Batdorf worked for Science Applications International Corporation the fields of thermal waste treatment, air pollution control, and radioactive waste processing. Dr. Batdorf manages the engineering and technology development of the PEM gasification process.

Martin Capriles

Chief Strategy Officer
Martin Capriles is an active entrepreneur, founder of PEMTx Energy LLC and former Managing Director of GGC Investments and Meta Capital, two related financing entities with investments in metals, retail, technology base startups, renewable energy, and consumer products. He is an experienced executive with a track record in M&A, corporate finance, administration, strategy and operations. He is on the board of Surfside Coffee Company, a 56 Dunkin store franchise network in Florida and DBT Aero, a company seeking to revolutionize the General Aviation industry. Prior to his work in investment finance, Martin spent 20 years with CEMEX (NYSE: CX) in various roles with P&L responsibility, including CEMEX Venezuela’s Board of Directors, Head Investment Officer, Commercial Vice President, and Trading Director. Martin holds an M.S. from Caracas’ Universidad Metropolitana and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Advisory Board

Daniel R. Cohn, Ph.D.

Dr. Cohn serves in a consulting role as Senior Advisor to the Chairman. He is a co-founder of INENTEC and served 15 years as a member of the Management Committee of INENTEC, and 4 years as Chief Executive Officer of the company. Dr. Cohn was a senior research scientist at MIT and served as Executive Director of the MIT Study on the Future of Natural Gas. Dr. Cohn’s research has been primarily in the area of energy and environmental technology, particularly involving applications of plasmas.
